In Loving Memory of
"Miss Piggy"

"You still are............
and always will be LOVED"

You are sadly MISSED by all who
knew you!
This is the letter I sent out to those who knew and loved our
beloved "Miss piggy" when she passed away.

It is with deep regret that we have to tell our friends that we had to have our
beloved Miss Piggy put to sleep and its just killing us. She went into renal
failure and we tried everything with our vet, but she just got worse and
worse. A couple weeks ago, she dropped about 1/3rd of her body weight.
We took her to the vet every other day just to make sure we weren't keeping
her alive for "us". We packed her around with us non-stop these last couple
weeks, going for car rides( her favorite thing to do) and then last week
watched the most loved part of our life slip away little by little on us. Till the
end.......having to be within our touch at all times, we weren't  even able to go
to the bathroom without her staggering to see where we were. That was her
last night. We knew that the dehydration was getting to her as she stopped
vomiting with the medicine we put her on, but then she stopped eating or
drinking. The night before we took her in, I carried her out to go to the
bathroom and she unsteadily staggered for the car and stood in front of it
and wagged her tail ever so slightly. The car ride 2 days before had made
her sick and I had decided to not......but then changed my mind when I saw
how much she wanted to and put her in the front seat with my friend Beverly
who drove us up around the drive, and around the barn and back to the
house. She sat up straight looking out the window and I could tell she was
enjoying it, even in her weakened state. Her last night appeared
comfortable and she would put her head up under your hand to be touched.
She slept right next to us as she did for 10 years and when we got up in the
morning, we knew it was time. She could not stand for long and her head
bobbed. We took her in and layed her on a soft blanket and she never lifted
her head or wagged her tail as our vet, our compassionate, caring and
animal loving vet whom we appreciate so much, gently put her to sleep while
Lenny and I held her and told her how much we loved her.We feel like our
hearts were ripped right out of our chests, with it only being Lenny and I for
so many years as our kids are grown and live out of state, it was like we'd
lost our child. Our lives will never be the same. Just wanted to get ahold of
you and let you know.   Thanks, Tracy
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow
Bridge. When an animal dies that has been
especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special
friends so that they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food and water and
sunshine, and our friends there are warm and
comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and
old are restored to perfect health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and
strong again just as we remember them in our dreams of
years and times gone by. The animals are
happy and content, except for one small thing
- they miss someone very special to them, who had
to stay behind when the beloved pet went away.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when
one suddenly stops and looks up -- the bright eyes are
intent, the body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the
group,
his body flying over the green grass, his legs hurrying
faster and faster. You have been spotted, when you
and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in
joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The sweet
loving kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress
the beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your dear pet, so long gone from your life,
but never absent from your heart.
Faithful friends never leave
us.......they just run ahead to wait
for us in a happier place!
